Sophie Harley

We’ve loved Sophie Harley for a while now and certainly before she was awarded UK Jewellery Designer of the Year 2013 recently. Vaguely exotic graphics provide foundations for beguiling charm motifs – tactile little bees, shells and shark’s teeth, winged hearts and seahorses. These 18ct gold chandelier earrings cost a cool £3,450, browse equally beautiful, more affordable pieces at www.sophieharley.com

We’ve been inspired by Julianne Moore. Last month, at the premiere of ‘Carrie’ in Los Angeles, California, the actress knocked out the competition in a white column Givenchy gown with no more than a bling ring and a monochromatic beaded clutch for company. Repeat the sentiment with Butler & Wilson’s plush clutch in all the colours of winter. Pair with a striking LBD for best effect. £550, www.butlerandwilson.co.uk

RED-LEATHER-TROUSERS

We’re still not sure what Kate Bosworth does apart from wander Coachella looking ethereal but boy, does she do it prettily. The Collection by Kate Bosworth at Topshop, out now, is pretty simple on paper: boyish shapes in luxe fabrics at higher price points (did you ever think you’d go into Topshop and spend £595 on a coat?). But Bosworth has been wearing it so well we’re sold too. (And how cute is she in the promotional video? We think we have a girl crush.)

The underpinning aesthetic is tailored, minimalist, rock’n’roll. Or as Bosworth puts it, ‘slim silhouettes cloaked in a masculine shape, staying true to the mix of masculine/feminine balance that exists in my personal aesthetic.’ Cue big collarless shearling coats, silk-chiffon and leather shirts, silver foil tops and skirts – and these phenomenal stretch leather pants. All in all, pretty accomplished. £295, www.topshop.com
